Ikävä

Syyskuu piirtyi mieleeni ikimuistoisena. Matkakokemukseni herätti monenlaisia tunteita sekä ennalta että paikan päällä. Jälkikäteen itselleni ominaiseen tapaan olen niitä mietiskellyt eri näkökulmista sekä kuvakulmista. Kameran etsimeen osui tämä ihastuttava pariskunta rantatyrskyjä ihailemassa. Millainen tunnelma sinulle kuvasta välittyy?

Blogiuudistukset ovat hiljaksiin toteutumassa ja minäkin palaamassa (henkisesti) näihin maisemiin. Sitkeääkin sitkeämpi yskä on vienyt parhaan terän, mikä harmittaa kovasti. Luulin auringon ja meressä lillumisen lataavan minun kehoni aivan uuteen ulottuvuuteen. Vaan toisin kävi. 

Kaikella on kuitenkin tarkoituksensa ja ajatukseni, toiveeni ja haaveeni saavat rauhassa etsiä oman polkunsa toteutuakseen sopivana hetkenä. 

Äskettäin sain inspiroivaa postia, josta kerron tarkemmin seuraavassa postauksessa.

Last month was really unusual.

Me winning the Photo Contest was a miracle.

The prize was even more unbelievable.

One week on my own at a beautiful Hotel Arion. 

I hardly understand it.

I'm a dreamer. I have made many of my visions come true.

Unelmat ovat saavutettavissa.

I don't find enough words to describe my feelings. Our friend Dimos Kassapidis said to me: "You are a real lucky girl!" when we met in Kokkari Square in the 13th of September. In fact this video led us to this photogenic island for the first time in 2011. 

I'm grateful to all our friends in Samos. I noticed during my journey that I already have friends there and this time I got many new ones. It is easy to make friends with Greek people. They are so kind and polite. I felt cared about at my beautiful Hotel Arion and it was safe to explore this side of the island by foot and by bus. Taxi drivers were all also really polite and they spoke good English. 

In my hotel I met travellers from Germany and Holland so I got an opportunity to practice my forgotten German as well. One of the most unforgottable situations was at the Lemonakia Beach where I had a nice discussion with a Swiss lady. She has been hiking in Samos already 21 years with her husband. I respect their journeys. They have found a place where they can come year after year.

We are looking forward to our next holidays in Samos! 

Suomalainen sanonta: Yksi kuvat kertoo enemmän kuin tuhat sanaa sopinee tähän, vaikka ylläoleva kuva onkin kollaasi kuvausmatkani huippuhetkistä. Internetyhteydet toimivat, kun muistivat, joten iltasella leikin löytämälläni appsilla kuvasatoa karsiessani.

Good bye summer

Wonderful week in a paradise is now in my memories. This photo which I took on Lemonakia beach of this lovely girl tells the story of my lonely journey in Kokkari.

Listening the waves and enjoying the sun  were my trips main focus and of course lots of pictures. 

I'll write more about my adventures when I feel a little bit healtier.

Syyskuinen aurinko

Aamulla tallensin yhden pienen katoavan hetken huiskutettuani hyvän päivän toivotuksen matkaan viilettäneelle mummopyörän polkijalle. Hectorin Syyskuu soi taustalla ja mielessäni ovat pyörineet Tommy Tabermannin runot, joista tämä sopii tunnelmiini.

          Kaikkea saa tehdä.

          Kaikkea pitää tehdä.

          Kaikkia ovia pitää tempoa,

          kaikkia kuita kurkotella.

          On vain yksi ehto,

Viime viikon torstaina sähköpostiini kilahtivat lentoliput Helsingistä Pythagorioniin Samoksen kentälle, joka sijaitsee aivan Potokakin kilometrien pituisen rannan kupeessa. Tiedossa on erilainen syysmaisema saaren pohjoisrannan upeassa Hotel Arionissa. Heille siellä on jo syksy ja minulle ensi kertaa tähän aikaan sinne matkaavalle lempeä kesäsää. 

Mårbackamme on nyt loistossaan. Se ja vanha peilipiironki toivottavat lasiverannalla tervetulleeksi. Tänäänkin iltapäivän auringossa oli onni juoda kupillinen haudutettua inkivääriteetä ja syödä paahdettua ruisleipää avokadolla höystettynä selaillen samalla lehteä.

Pääni on pullollaan ajatuksia ja to do -listallani on pituutta luvattoman mittavasti. Jännitystä ei ole omiaan vähentämään se, että lupauduin cat walkille esittelemään syysmuotia. Jos liikut noilla kulmilla niin tule ihmeessä perjantai-iltana Herkkuhetkeen.

Viesti, jota odotin

Mourtia beach

Siitä hetkestä asti, kun sain tietää olevani The winner, täytyy myöntää villasukkien pyörineen jaloissani. Olen parhaani mukaan koettanut ottaa käyttöön opiskelemiani hyvän mielen taitoja, ajatusten hallintaa ja rentoa elämään heittäytymistä. Yön pimeinä tunteina on muutaman kerran iskenyt epäuskoinen olo. Onko tämä todellista?

Taas kerran voimatauluni ja aarrekarttani, joita olen väkerrellyt T -huoneellani, johdattavat minut haaveilemalleni retkelle. Nyt matkaan lähdemme vain minä ja tykötarpeeni. Flip flopsit, bikinit ja hellehepeneet. Niin ja kamera. Reppukin on tarpeen. 

Tänään puhelin sanoi: "Bling" saapuneen sähköpostin merkiksi. Huomenna selvinnee, milloin astun koneeseen ja siirryn takaisin kesäkeleihin, joita kieltämättä tässä sateisessa illassa kaipaan.

Sweet thursday

Torstai on toivoa täynnä!

We have lots of great memories from our journeys in Greece. First there was just two of us with our backbags in the 1980's in Peloponnesos and Halkidiki and after many years of family life we found again our love for Greece on our wedding day holiday. 

We flight to see how it was in Kalithea Camping Site. This time we didn't sleep in a tiny tent by the sea. Instead of that we drove by bike there in heat and stopped in an old, familiar taverna to drink refreshing frappe.

That was the pivotal vacation. We desided to take our daughters also to see this country which had stolen our hearts. 

Kefalonia we found from an article in our local newspaper. Myrtos was our main target. The road with a little bit bad car was almost frightening experience. The wind was blowing so hard that it was forbidden to swim. In the mountains it was nice to explore and girls loved to swim in pool at hotel. It was wonderful to enjoy their happiness. 

The path to Megalo Seitan

Next journey we made again just the two of us. 

We landed at Samos Airport in the beginning of June 2011. Hotel Naftilos sounded just perfect for a holiday for a couple. They had age limit 16. The pool was quiet and it was marvellous to enjoy time in peace reading and resting. 

When we first time left Samos we were looking at Mikro and Megalo Seitan beaches from the airplane's window. Decision was made! There are deserted places without any service. The long hiking in the heat was definately worth doing. We fell in love with this stylish boutique Hotel and so one year later our whole family arrived to the hill near Pythagorion. We rented a car and explored the island together. Unforgettable time together as a family!
